Longtime Northwest San Antonio Tex-Mex spot Mia’s Mexican Grill will open a second location next year, regulatory documents show.
After nearly two decades at 11739 Bandera Road, the restaurant has filed with Texas regulators to remodel an existing 4,500-square-foot building in The Vineyard Shopping Plaza near Loop 1604 West to create a second location. The same shopping center houses a Whole Foods Market location, J-Prime Steakhouse, Sushishima and the Northside Black Swan Yoga studio.
Mia’s Mexican Grill plans to spend $800,000 on the renovations, which are expected to get underway in early October and wrap up in May 2027, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation documents show.
The Current reached out to the owners of Mia’s Mexican Grill for comment on the expansion but got no immediate response.
Founded in 2012, Mia’s Mexican Grill is family-owned and operated, according to its website.
The restaurant serves an extensive menu of Tex-Mex favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including fajitas, tacos, fideo, enchiladas, barbacoa, sopapillas, huevos rancheros and more. The eatery also offers rotating lunch and dinner specials.
