San Antonio has lost another longtime family-owned dining spot.
Zorba’s Greek Mediterranean Grill, 2110 NW Military Highway, has shut down after nearly two decades in operation, according to a statement posted Friday on its Instagram account.
“After 18 years of serving our community, we are happy to announce that we have flipped our sign to closed for the last time,” the post said. “We have been blessed to operate in the time that we have and we will hold onto these memories for the rest of our lives. To our loyal customers, supporters, and family members, thank you. On behalf of the whole family, thank you.”
The post didn’t detail why the owners chose to shutter the restaurant.
The Castle Hills establishment was known for friendly service and a menu that included fresh and flavorful takes on Greek favorites such as gyros and stuffed grape leaves, along with kebabs and a variety of Mediterranean items including shawarma, hummus and baba ganoush.
