Two celebrities paid separate visits to Asian fusion bistro Best Quality Daughter this week, continuing a whirlwind of positive attention for the Pearl dining spot.

Sandra Oh, the star of TV medical drama
Grey’s Anatomy, stopped by the restaurant Tuesday, just a day after a visit from well-known chef and humanitarian José Andrés, who was in town for a speech at a hospitality convention. Oh is known as a champion of Asian representation, having appeared in the groundbreaking lead role of Dr. Cristina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy, which ran for 21 seasons. The award-winning actress has also appeared in films including Sideways and Under the Tuscan Sun.

Michelin-starred and James Beard-awarded Andrés owns the lauded minibar in Washington D.C. Named one of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” twice, he’s also known for his humanitarian work as the founder of World Central Kitchen.

Best Quality Daughter’s head chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin posted both encounters to her Instagram along with the caption “Always meet your heroes.”

Dobbertin, a James Beard-nominee herself, has been enjoying a flurry of attention as of late, including unveiling a Thai-influenced reboot of the Crunchwrap Supreme that she created for Taco Bell.

Though the visits might be viewed as conspicuous while we wait with bated breath for the announcements of San Antonio’s first Michelin stars, maybe the celebs just happen to really like salt-and-pepper shrimp.
