The space at The Rim development that formerly housed music venue The Rustic has reopened with a pop-up concert series for a good cause.

The Rustic closed in May 2024 due to ongoing highway construction that limited its accessibility. However, the new series Summer Nights at the Rim is breathing new life into the outdoor music venue — and donating a portion of proceeds to Kerrville disaster relief.

Things kick off this weekend with shows featuring hip-hop and country lineups.

Double-platinum Florida rapper Kodak Black will head Friday’s bill, which also will include Harlem-based rapper Melii, San Antonio rapper AJ Hernz, San Angelo R&B artist Paula De Anda and San Antonio pop singer Austin Mahone, who has more than 22 million followers on Facebook and Instagram.

Doors for the Friday show open at 5 p.m. with music running 7 p.m.-2 a.m. General admission tickets are $46.23 and are available for purchase through the Power Gate Presents website. Those interested can also request a table.

The 18-and-up event, presented by Power Gate and local promoter Lil Jay, will benefit the RamHeart Foundation for Kerr County disaster relief, a new nonprofit established by the promoter, nonprofit guru Desiree Hope Serna and Diana Demetria Ruiz.

Saturday’s show will feature a live performance by Bronx rapper De La Ghetto. Tickets for that show also run $46.23 with the show getting underway at 8 p.m.

A Sunday country show will include Gunnar Latham, Clay Hollis, Isaac Jacob, Matt Castillo and the Teague Brothers. A portion of sales of those tickets, available for $36.88, will benefit Kerrville disaster relief through Christian Assistance Ministries (CAM).

Summer Nights at the Rim will return the weekend of August 22 and 23, according to online details, though the lineup has yet to be announced. Follow Summer Nights at the Rim on Instagram for future updates.
