San Antonio’s Historic Pearl complex is hosting a first-of-its-kind music festival next month with Texas blues rockers Los Lonely Boys headlining.

Pearl Fest will take place Saturday, May 23, at the upscale dining and shopping complex at the former Pearl Brewery.

Pearl Fest is a full-day music festival offering a hybrid of free and ticketed concert experiences. The day will start at 11 a.m. with a free, open-to-the-public stage at Pearl Park during its weekly Farmers Market.

The free entertainment at Park Stage will feature performances by LA 45 with Chicano soul legend Sunny Ozuna along with acts Texican Legacy, Batooter and Jose Amador & Terra Nova.

The ticketed portion of the festival will begin at 5 p.m. on the main stage, located in the parking area under U.S. Highway 281. Performances on that stage will feature a variety of local acts including blues rocker Nicky Diamonds, indie project mypilotis and “emo primos” Vintage Pictures before San Angelo headliners Los Lonely Boys bring their special flavor of “Texican rock ‘n’ roll” to the stage.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday for $25 with a special presale Thursday for those who sign up for the Pearl’s email list.
