The Tejano Music Awards are returning to San Antonio’s Boeing Center at Tech Port + Arena this month.

The long-running event’s 44th annual iteration will take place Friday, Nov. 22, and feature performers including Jay Perez, Solido, Stefani Montiel and Avizo, according to organizers.

San Antonio comedians La Chona and Big John will host this year’s Tejano Music Awards, which celebrates the South Texas-born musical form’s legacy and future. Valente Rodriguez, the actor best known for his role as Ernie Cardenas on the George Lopez sitcom, will be special guest.

Lifetime achievement honorees at this year’s show will include “La Voz De Oro” David Marez, known for his work with the pioneering West Side soul act the Royal Jesters, and Placido Salazar, a groundbreaking Tejano performer who remains active as a radio DJ.

Tickets start at $30 and are available online.
