San Antonio’s Hotel Emma won another accolade Monday, this time being named among the nation’s 10 best hotels by Tripadvisor users.

The luxury property developed inside Pearl Brewing’s former brewhouse ranked as the nation’s seventh-best hotel in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Traveler’s Choice Awards. The annual awards are based on reviews left on the travel website over the prior year.

“When I travel, I care about two things when it comes to booking my hotel – a convenient location and a space that feels like a home away from home,” Tripadvisor President Kristen Dalton said in a statement. “A distinction like Travelers’ Choice gives users the insights they need to make those informed decisions when choosing a hotel.”

According to Dalton, this year’s winners show that travelers are looking for amenities, elegance and attention to detail.

Guests at Hotel Emma, which has a 4.9-star rating on Tripadvisor, lavish praise on the property’s location, architecture and impeccable service. It was the only Texas hotel to make the list.

“I don’t think when I return to San Antonio, I could envisage staying anywhere else,” one Hotel Emma guest posted.

Hotel Emma has raked in plenty of awards since its 2015 opening, including being named among the top 20 best hotels in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, the No. 3 best hotel by Conde Nast and winning Michelin’s coveted Two Keys distinction in 2024.
