Brewjeria Coffee & Teas recently opened late last month across the street from Harlandale High School at 1900 Pleasanton Road, and the spot is already casting a spell with its occult aesthetics and artisanal beverages.
The shop primarily serves espresso-based drinks such as Americanos, Cortados and Lattes, according to details shared online. However, matcha is also on offer, and its menu features specialty drinks such as the Love Potion, composed of espresso, milk, rose and vanilla.
For PSL-aficionados, the cafe has both a pumpkin spice latte and a pumpkin cold foam Americano to revel in the flavors of the season.
Brewjeria also plans to offer a pastry menu to compliment its drinks, but it’s not finalized just yet, according to its owners. For now, the cafe offers cookies and pastries on rotation, which vary from week to week.
Brewjeria is the first business venture for its 22-year-old owner, Julian Cavazos, according to a MySA report. In addition to running the java joint, Cavazos is an ESL teacher at McCollum High School.
So how does he get it all done? “Well it certainly has its challenges and has been tricky,” Cavazos told the Current via Instagram message during his lunch break at the high school. However, Cavazos added that he has a great support system.
Brewjeria’s hours are 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
