Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels will offer free admission to past and active members of the armed forces over Memorial Day weekend, officials with the attractions said Tuesday.

From May 23-26, active and retired U.S. military, reserves and National Guard members, can get free access to the two parks by being registered with ID.me or having a valid military ID at the time they obtain their ticket. Moreover, those who qualify can buy an additional six discounted day passes at nearly 70% of the original price.

Six Flags merged with Schlitterbahn’s corporate parent, Cedar Fair, last year. The merged company is offering the same discount at its parks nationwide, except for Knott’s Berry Farm, Knott’s Soak City and Cedar Point Shores. More information is available on the Six Flags website.

New attractions at Six Flags Fiesta Texas this season include an expanded DC Universe, the new Chupacabra roller coaster and Coral Cove at Hurricane Harbor San Antonio.

Meanwhile, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels has added the 21-and-over Oberbahn Biergarten, which includes a tap bar.
