Doom metal progenitors Pentagram will perform at San Antonio’s Paper Tiger on Tuesday, May 13, as part of a month-long North American tour, according to a Thursday Instagram post by the venue.

Tickets are on sale now for $25. The Instagram post mentions the main-stage show will include “special guests” but didn’t reveal who else will round out the bill.

After Black Sabbath — which originated the dark, riff-fueled musical form known as doom metal — Pentagram is considered one of the genre’s “Big Four,” the others being Saint Vitus, Candlemass and Trouble.

Originating in the 1970s, Pentagram has even drawn comparisons to Sabbath with bug-eyed frontman Bobby Liebling being dubbed “America’s Ozzy Osborne.”

At 71 years old, Liebling delivered a powerful performance at Austin’s Levitation festival over the Halloween weekend last fall.

Pentagram’s May tour kicks off in Austin, followed by a date in Houston. Then it’s on to the Alamo City. Following the U.S. road dates, the band immediately commences a tour of Europe.

Ticket prices unavailable, 7. p.m. Tuesday, May 13,
