A Bexar County judge ruled Friday that Ashley Pardo — the San Antonio mom facing charges that she bought munitions for her son as he planned a mass shooting — can leave the home where she’s under house arrest to seek employment opportunities, the Express-News reports.

The ruling by Bexar County Criminal District Court Judge Miguel Najera comes after Pardo’s defense attorney, Joseph Appelt, requested that her bond terms be amended, according to the daily.

Appelt told the court his 33-year-old client is unable to pay her $3,000 in monthly bills, adding that her inability to leave her home and earn income resulted in her water being cut off, the Express-News reports. She’s now in jeopardy of losing her electricity, added.

Pardo previously worked at Cream Cocktail Lounge on the St. Mary’s Strip. However, the goth bar fired her following her arrest earlier this month.

Authorities charged Pardo with aiding in the commission of terrorism after it was discovered that she’d bought her 13-year-old son tactical gear, ammunition and magazines, according to arrest documents. The youth was planning a mass shooting at San Antonio’s Jeremiah Rhodes Elementary School at the time, police allege.

On May 13, Pardo was released on $75,000 bail and placed on house arrest. She was also ordered to have no contact with her son and is prohibited from possessing firearms or incendiary devices.

Meanwhile, a judge ordered her son, who was charged with terrorism, to remain in custody at the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Facility.
