Is your dog a metalhead?

If so, you’re in luck.

This weekend, the San Antonio Zoo is inviting people and their four-legged friends to jump aboard the Crazy Train — an Ozzy Osbourne-inspired trek through Brackenridge Park.

The train ride is part of the zoological park’s Trick-or-Tail Dog Day presented by VEG ER for Pets. The event, which runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. this Sunday, will feature dog-friendly festivities, including a dog costume contest, dog trick-or-treating and live music.

The first 200 pooches at the San Antonio Zoo on Sunday also will receive a complimentary commemorative bandana.

What’s more, guests and their canines are invited to explore the all-new Fiesta de los Muertos, a colorful Día de los Muertos-inspired experience featuring vibrant displays, culturally inspired art and live entertainment. There, guests can also visit the Ofrenda de Animales — a special tribute celebrating the love and memories of pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge.

To participate in Dog Day, guests must purchase a ticket for their furry pal for $27.99 in addition to a regular ticket for human admission. Zoo members receive free admission but must still purchase a pass for their pets.

Dogs ride free on the Crazy Train with the purchase of a single human train ticket.

All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies, and remain on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet. Each dog must also be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.

Tickets to the outing are available at the San Antonio Zoo website.
