A recently posted TikTok video of a light-colored object rotating in the night sky has triggered speculation that an alien visitor passed over the Alamo City.

San Antonio resident Justin Delgado posted the clip Sunday night after capturing the peculiar footage on North Alamo Street. In the video, a rotating object can be seen flying, or possibly floating, across murky sky.

While narrating the video, Delgado said the object appeared metallic or white, but sometimes nearly disappeared against the darkness.

“I saw something rotating in the sky like a boomerang and I decided to record it,” Delgado said in his voiceover. “I don’t know what it is.”

Delgado ended the video asking if anyone else had seen the strange object floating over the city and whether they thought he should report it to TV channel KSAT.

While it’s unclear whether the object was anything more than a balloon or drone, the speculation seems to fit in with the way many in the Lone Star State react when seeing unusual things in the night sky.

Texas is among the states with the most UFO sightings, according to a recent study. One in every 1,360 Texans has reported spotting a UFO, ranking Texas sixth in the nation for extraterrestrial tourism.

San Antonio has had its fair share of sightings this year alone. Even though one this spring was explained as a SpaceX launch, some locals aren’t buying that. Still other would-be witnesses have confused the Tower of the Americas for a UFO after imbibing a bit too much to discern truth from science fiction.
