8827 TX-151 #106, (210) 257-9726, facebook.com/shenanygans2
Though not the biggest dance floor, drinkers over at this Westover Hills-area watering hole pack it in on the weekends. Cool off with a game of pool or out on the patio, but be sure to bump and grind on the dance floor – especially on the weekends.

John T. Floore’s Country Store
14492 Old Bandera Rd, Helotes, (210) 695-8827, liveatfloores.com
A (quick) drive out to Helotes is well-worth a few hours of dancing at Floore’s. Packed with plenty of history, this honky-tonk is perfect for true country lovers that care more about the music than the dancing. But, it’s still hell of a spot for showing off your moves. There’s also a barbecue cafe and bar, so hanging here is time well-spent.

Sure, this one is a bit more of a drive, being in New Braunfels and all, but it is also an institution in its own right. Take a daytrip to this hub of German culture and be amazed by the beauty of this 19th century dance hall. Expect a mixture of country, Americana and blues to be blasting, and be prepared to dance the night away.
