A San Antonio remodeler replaced his entire house a piece at a time and connected it with a skybridge

The redo of a modest three-bedroom house now for sale in San Antonio's Woodlawn Hills started with replacing a carport with a three-car garage and an apartment overhead.

By the time professional remodeler Mark Robles was done, he decided to replace the house too.

Two years and two architects later, there's no trace of the ranch-style house like the ones that surround the remade abode, which is now on the market for $899,900. The two-story, ultramodern structure is now a four-bedroom, 5.5 bathroom house with custom ... well ...  everything.

Much of the first floor of the main house serves as an office, including separate glass doors off the entry hall to a formal business setting. A walk up the floating staircase in the atrium, however, gives way to another world.

The upstairs living and entertainment space includes a home theater, shuffleboard and a full bar next to the pool table. Televisions are everywhere, including on the walls and hanging from the middle of ceilings. A kitchen takes up a large footprint in the open floor plan.

A skybridge connects the live and play area to the master suite over the garage, where a fireplace opens on one side to the bedroom and on the other side overlooks the bathroom's soaking tub. You guessed it: there's even a pop-up television above the tub.

Spacious balconies overlook the pool and cabana. Back stairs lead to a home gym and a hot tub tucked away in a secluded area underneath the balcony with a path leading to an oasis area that includes the pool.
