After purchase by an investor, this beautiful Dignowity Hill home is back on the market with a price cut

San Antonio's inner-city real estate is a hot commodity right now, and outside investors have swooped in to buy up homes and turn them for a quick profit.

Case in point is this stylish 1940s Dignowity Hill property that underwent a complete remake in the hands of interior designer San Juanita Preciado. After picking it up in a 2018 city auction, Preciado spent more than a year outfitting it with beautiful touches including a coffered ceiling with dramatic wooden beams and inlays of contrasting lighter wood.

Perciado put the four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home on the market this summer — you may recall the Current's original slideshow — and it sold to an out-of-town investment firm.

Now, scant months later, that same company has put it back on the market again, according the property's agent. This time, its price tag has been lowered to $458,000 — a drop of more than $10,000 from this summer's asking price of $468,500.

Sounds like an opening for locals who missed out the first time around.
