A fixer-upper in downtown New Braunfels has hit the market, and the 1845 home has the distinction of being build by Johann Von Coll, one of the city's first settlers, according to its sales listing.

The property's price tag of just under $1.8 million includes the original home plus a small, cabin-like structure, both nestled on a 1.4 acre corner lot. The property listing describes the three-bedroom, three-bath Von Coll home as being built using "old German masonry techniques."

Although it's clear from the photos that the 2,800-square-foot Von Coll home is in need of some TLC, the images show quality millwork including a majestic main staircase, transoms over some of the interior doors and built in bookshelves and cabinets in the living room.
