San Antonio-area pumpkin patches and corn mazes to check out for fall 2023

Circle N Maze

Circle N Maze has run amok amok amok with its 2023 corn maze, which is themed on the classic Disney Halloween film Hocus Pocus. The fall season runs on weekends from Oct. 6-29, and admission includes access to the maze as well as a pumpkin patch, corn pit, tire climb and more.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch

In addition to a selection of heirloom pumpkins and other gourds, this patch also has pumpkin bread for sale. The pumpkin patch is open 2:30-7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday and noon-7:30 p.m. Sunday starting Oct. 2. Special events include Painting in the Patch on Oct. 21, a Fall Festival on Oct. 28 and a Chili Cook-off on Oct. 29.

Devine Acres Farm

In addition to plenty of pumpkins, Devine Acres boasts over 50 activities, included in admission, from hay rides and pumpkin painting to catch-and-release fishing. Tickets are available both online and at the gate for weekly festivities at the farm on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 30-Oct. 29.

South Texas Maize at Graff 7A Ranch

Graff 7A Ranch has got it all — an 8-acre corn maze, a pumpkin patch, farm animals and many other fun activities. The ranch is open on weekends through Nov. 12 for its 2023 fall season.

Windcrest United Methodist Church

Windcrest UMC's pumpkin patch is open daily from Oct. 2-31, 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. The church will also host special events throughout October, including a movie in the patch, Fall Bazaar and trunk or treat.

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival

The third annual Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival is back on weekends from Sept. 23-Oct. 29. Held at the 5-acre Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, the fall festival features games and activities including a pumpkin patch, potato sack races, barrel rides, Mount Haymore and more.

Jenschke Orchards

Jenschke Orchards’ 2023 corn maze honors country icon Reba McEntire. In addition to the 5-acre maze, fall season activities at Jenschke include wagon rides, a pick your own pumpkin patch, a corn pit and barnyard rollers.

Tower of the Americas

From Oct. 13-Nov. 19, locals and tourists alike can stop by the Tower of the Americas for some pumpkin happenings. There are plenty of gourds available for purchase plus fall displays for photo ops.

Bracken UMC Pumpkin Patch

Bracken UMC's pumpkin patch is open daily starting Sept. 29, from 4-7 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday-Sunday. The church is also hosting a Patch or Treat on October 21.

Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch at Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm is the perfect destination for Hill Country fall fun. Open on Saturdays and Sundays October 1-30, the pumpkin patch features kid-friendly activities including pumpkin painting, scarecrow dressing and rubber duck races, plus the opportunity for winter holiday lovers to explore the farm's 6000 Christmas trees.

Traders Village

Traders Village is back with its annual Corny Maze. The 10-acre maze features three trails ranging from easy, kid-friendly difficulty to a challenging trek through the corn stalks. You can also grab your seasonal gourds at Traders Village's pumpkin patch. The maze will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. every weekend in October and November starting Oct. 7.

TLF Pumpkin Patch

Braune Farms Pumpkin Patch

You can't get more authentic than Braune Farms, where visitors walk amongst the fields to find their pumpkins. The farm also features plenty of family-friendly activities like hay rides and pumpkin put-put. This year, the patch is open on Saturdays and Sundays from October 14-29.

Sweet Berry Farm

For those willing to drive out to Marble Falls, the 60-acre Sweet Berry Farm is worth a visit. The crown jewel is a massive, Texas-shaped corn maze, but the farm also features a pumpkin patch, scarecrow stuffing, flower picking, hay rides and other fall-themed activities, open every day of the week except Wednesdays. Admission is free, but each activity is ticketed, so the money can add up if you're not careful. This year’s fall season runs from Sept. 23-Nov. 5.

Rockin R River Rides

Rockin R River Rides is transitioning from summer to fall fun. The New Braunfels-based tubing outpost is opening a pumpkin patch at its Gruene location for the first time this year, with additional attractions including a corn pit and jump pad. The patch is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday from Sept. 30-Nov. 18.

Universal City Pumpkin Patch

The official pumpkin patch of this nearby burg is open 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday-Sunday starting October 6. This year's patch features photo ops, a hay maze, and weekend food vendors including Hometeam Hotdogs and Lilly’s Frozen Treats.

The AgriCultural

Boerne’s First United Methodist Church will operate a pumpkin patch at the AgriCultural museum from 3-6 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and noon-6 p.m. Sundays from Oct. 6-22. The AgriCultural will host its annual Spooktacular event on Oct. 27-28, with activities including hay rides, a spooky train ride and goblin cornhole.

Milberger's Nursery

If you want to multitask at the pumpkin patch, why not stop by Milberger's Nursery for some fall fun? Starting Oct. 1, shoppers can enjoy kid-friendly Halloween festivities at the North Side plant nursery, including a Monster Maze open during regular business hours and a Train of Terror that runs from noon-2 p.m. daily.

Sundrop Springs

Sundrop Springs is a 22-acre farm in New Braunfels that is making its debut this year. The 2023 Fall Festival, which beings Sept. 23, includes family-friendly activities like a pick your own pumpkin patch, corn pit and hay playground. During the day, Sundrop Springs’ Haunted Trail is kid-friendly, with a “scare intensity” of 2/10, but at night it transforms into a haunted attraction intended for ages 12+, with a “scare intensity” of 7/10.

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church

This popular pumpkin patch opens Oct. 1 and runs daily until Oct. 31, or until they sell out of their stockpile of gourds. Helotes Hills United Methodist Church sells pumpkins for as low as $1, and also offers pumpkin bread for sale on a first-come, first-served basis.
