San Antonians may know visual artist Yolix Luna from the colorful paintings she sells at her Muñescas, Etc. shops at La Villita and Historic Market Square. One of the trademarks of her creations is their intricately decorated borders.

The North Central home and studio where the Mexico-born artist created much of that art is now on the market for $420,000 — and two of her pieces are included in the sale price.

A vibrant floral painting adorns the inside of the hand-carved front door, while a mural depicting cherubs and more flowers is visible on the backside of the stairway in the foyer. The stairway itself is also a work of art, incorporating wooden sculptural pieces into its railing. Luna didn't do the carvings, but she did paint them, according to the selling agent.

Luna raised three children in the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home, and used its upper floor as her studio. The property also features a lush backyard oasis with a swimming pool and built-in rock waterfall.

This home is listed by Lynette D. McClaran with The McClaran Group.
