The former San Antonio home of Sushi Zushi's owner is now for sale

An uber-'80s mansion that was owned by Sushi Zushi head honcho Alfonso Tomita for more than a decade is back on the market with a price tag just under $2 million.

Tomita and his wife lived in the vibrant yellow Mediterranean estate from 2012 until 2021, according to county records. Now, the owner who bought the 9,000-square-foot property from the Tomitas a little more than two years ago has put it back on the market.

The new asking price is nearly $800,000 more than the empty nester Tomitas were asking for when they sold off the home to downsize.

The six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bath residence has plenty of touches that trumpet its 1981 vintage, from the Miami Vice-ready exterior paint job to its two-story living area to natural light streaming through copious floor-to-ceiling windows. Fitting the South Florida theme, the "backyard is a private oasis with paved areas complete with pool," according to the sales listing.
