The restaurateur from San Antonio's Chez Ardid and Maverick Brasserie is selling his 1920 home

You could say chef and restaurateur Miguel Ardid is a San Antonio dining institution.

The son of local culinary pioneer Guillermo Ardid, he took the family's Chez Ardid restaurant in new culinary directions before charting his own course that included directing food services at Trinity University and managing operations at Maverick Texas Brasserie.

Turns out, Ardid also has a taste for historic San Antonio real estate. He's selling a distractive 1920 Monte Vista bungalow that he's occupied since at least 2004, according to Bexar County property records. The three-bedroom, three-bath property is now listed for $565,000.

From the curb, the property stands out due to a rock archway and front porch. However, the eye candy continues inside with its open floor plan and beautiful wood floors. Its backyard features a covered back porch, a stone patio and a cascading pond.
