Classical Music Institute: Devotion and Resilience
When: Sat., March 30, 7:30 p.m. 2019
Though the Romantic Era composers that instantly spring to mind are Beethoven, Chopin, Wagner and Tchaikovsky, women, too, had a place in the pantheon of musical brilliance. And many created masterworks despite the barriers of sexism. Among those female composers, Clara Schumann and Grażyna Bacewicz were just as brilliant and prolific as any of the heroes of classical music. For that reason, their life’s work will be honored by the Classical Music Institute.
