Bihl Haus Arts hosts San Antonio native Elizabeth Rodriquez’ first one-person exhibit “On the Eve of Consciousness.” Rodriguez combines still life paintings of succulent apples throughout different stages of consumption and decay with a installation representing the downfall of women through domestic, drug and alcohol abuse. The exhibition focuses on the story of Adam and Eve and how “influence, temptation, excess, addiction, culture, innocence and the coming of age” are all part of becoming a woman. The opening reception takes place poolside and features music from percussionist Nina Rodriguez and singer Leonor Ramirez.
