PechaKucha vol. 21

Active since 2011, the local chapter of PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) takes a rock ’n’ roll dive with an evening of “art, brews and tattoos” on the St. Mary’s Strip. Emceed by Emmy-winning news anchor Randy Beamer, the 21st edition features fast-paced PowerPoint presentations by eight creative professionals: restaurateur Chris Cullum; tattoo artist Kelly Edwards; Barbaro bar director Elisabeth Forsythe; artist/musician Phillip Luna; Youth Orchestras of San Antonio music director Troy Peters; curator/artist David S. Rubin; chef Brooke Smith; and musician/San Antonio Current music editor Travis Buffkin. The event kicks off with a happy hour (6:30pm) with a cash bar and light bites from Bakery Lorraine, The Box Street Social, Dignowity Meats, Folc, One Lucky Duck, Sweet Chela’s and Tim the Girl.
