Peligrosa, for the uninitiated, is a loose, ATX-based collective of DJs, electronic music makers, and other performers that, since 2007, trade in all manner of nuevo-Latin@ sounds. Combining aspects of American hip-hop with all manner of traditional and experimental Mexican and Latin American styles, all with a distinct flavor and club-ready friskiness, the Peligrosa empire now includes a record label (Discos Peligrosa) and a truly diverse cast of musicians. Nurry Dog, who hails from Monterrey, is one of the latest and greatest artists to rep Peligrosa. Ahead of his upcoming release on the label, the artist will tear up Squeezebox this week along with a cast of Peligrosa-approved support. With a sound that’s best described as trap-cumbia, Nurry Dog’s performance could get the party started on any continent (check out the song “Trap Sobre El Rio”).
