If you’re unfamiliar with Louisiana’s Rebirth Brass Band, a Grammy-winning group formed in early '80s New Orleans that was featured in HBO’s post-Katrina Treme, you best get your ass down to Paper Tiger 'cause these folks know how to turn up. Seriously, just listen to “Do Whatcha Wanna,” the title track from their 2008 full-length. If you closed your eyes, you’d swear you’re walking down Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The up-tempo track combines funk, soul, jazz and moments of hip-hop, but it’s 100-percent New Orleans party, which is why they’ve been garnering international attention for decades.
