The flagship event of the San Antonio Blues Society, the Robert Johnson Sessions celebrates the Mississippi guitarist’s November 1936 recording in Room 414 of the Gunter Hotel. Tinny and brilliant, the SA recordings are one of two collections we have of the Faustian master of the Delta blues. For the 79th anniversary, the Blues Society invites Guy Davis (pictured) to open Johnson’s songbook.
