A half day of writing instruction and discussion with award-winning authors Amanda Eyre Ward, whose current novel, The Same Sky, is the September 2015 Target Book Club Pick, and Carol Dawson, author of four acclaimed novels and two nonfiction books.
Ward will discuss, "Ripped from the Headlines--Writing Fiction Based on Fact," and Dawson will discuss “Pickling Memory, Salting Tradition, Preserving the Past: The Art of Researching and Writing Your Own Story, Your Family’s Stories, and The Lives of Your Community.”
