Tommy Davidson

Best known for his performances on the sketch-comedy show In Living Color in the early ’90s (he did impersonations of Sammy Davis Jr. and Michael Jackson and got whacked over the head a lot by Homey D. Clown), stand-up Tommy Davidson has been a consistent presence on the comedy circuit since making his debut at a D.C. strip club in 1986. The following year, he won an amateur stand-up contest at the Apollo Theater and decided to move to Hollywood to see if he could build a career out of making people laugh. Since then, Davidson has been featured in a number of movies, including Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Booty Call, Bamboozled, Juwanna Mann and on the adult animated blaxploitation TV series Black Dynamite as Cream Corn, a member of the title character’s slick, polyester-wearing crew. Davidson’s more recent projects include a role in Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens and a gig as host of the CW Saturday morning TV series Vacation Creation where he and on-air personality Andrea Feczko surprise families with extravagant vacations.

Earl Abel's
Located at Broadway and Hildebrand, this iconic San Antonio restaurant was enjoyed by generations for its fried chicken, pies, breakfasts and other comfort food. It opened in 1933 but was displaced in 2006 by the construction of a luxury condo tower. New owners kept the SA favorite going in two new locations but finally threw in the towel last year due to post-pandemic pressures.
