Who says a Craigslist classified can’t produce a succesful band? After vocalist and fiddle-player Bobby Fitzgerald posted an ad for bluegrass players, Whiskey Shivers grew into an exciting quintet. In performance, the band captures the swill-drunk attitude of rock ‘n’ roll with the instruments of Americana. On the 2014 release An Offering, Daniel Thomas Phipps & The Kinfolk blend folk songwriting with the audacity of indie rock like Edward Sharpe or (straight-ahead) Sufjan Stevens.
