The menu will feature Espolòn tequila cocktails and chimichangas, or as Wade likes to call them, ‘TaKillYa’s’ and ‘changas. Admirers of the hero are invited to get to participating Drafthouses early as the special will be available for a limited time after May 1st.
Deadpool 2 comes two years after the wide success of its predecessor, Deadpool, released in February 2016. As the release of the sequel approaches, moviegoers are encouraged to watch their favorite hero face off against mutants and villains with a plate full of Wade’s favorite snack, which were crafted with Deadpool's tastes in mind. Those who attend screenings early can pick up a commemorative die-cut version of the menu to memorialize the occasion.
For Deadpool 2, there was truly only one food that came to mind: Chimi-Frickin-Changas!,” Chef Brad Sorenson explains. “Our take on the Merc with a Mouth’s all-time favorite food blends black beans with jalapeño and poblano peppers, our housemade salsa and cheese, all wrapped up in a flour tortilla and deep-fried to crispy, melty golden perfection.”
Beverage Director, Bill Norris, feels equally enthusiastic about the alcoholic portion of the menu.
“Our Deadpool 2 cocktails all feature his favorite spirit, ‘TaKillYa’! The four drinks - Vigilante Justice, Fire in the Hole, Below the Belt, and Pegged - are all spicy, fiery, boozy and just a touch fruity. All feature delicious Espolòn Tequila.”
Deadpool 2 hits theaters May 18th and Espolòn is available all year round. Fans can buy tickets at drafthouse.com.
