You can see the positive change in Rosie's eyes and face in the above photo.

In August, the San Antonio Police Department's East Side Property Crimes in conjunction with ACS cruelty investigators arrested a 45-year-old man, who they accuse of dousing the pit bull with hydrochloric acid.

San Antonio Animal Care services announced Monday that a local family has adopted her just in time for Christmas.

Rosie received burns to 100 percent of her face in the attack, along with losing one ear and part of another. She also went blind, temporarily, thankfully, because of the attack. By October, she had recovered enough in her eyes that she didn't need surgery. Rosie also received heart worm treatment.

The pit bull received an outpouring of support after the attack, including sympathizers from all over the world.

Happy holidays, Rosie.
