Albert Alvarez & Ed Saavedra

Presa House Gallery pairs new exhibitions by San Antonio artists Albert Alvarez and Ed Saavedra. Heavily influenced by the principles of ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy, as well as the iconic woodblock prints of the Northern Renaissance, Alvarez’s “A-Train Presents: Don’t Be My Judas” reflects on the human ego, relationships, birth and death. Never hesitant to tackle unpopular subject matter or spotlight the overlooked, Saavedra’s “The Price of Free Dumb” stuns visually while playfully inviting sociopolitical reexamination.
