“Boxer 22 Panel” with Boxer 22 Rescue Veterans at Randolph Officers Club Ball Room

In December of 1969 an F-4C Phantom call sign "Boxer 22" was shot down over Mu Gia Pass in Laos. The subsequent three-day airborne search and rescue was arguably the largest in US military history. 1LT Woodrow Bergeron, was successfully rescued after 51 hours on the ground. A1C David Davison, USAF Pararescueman, was mortally wounded and Commander Benjamin F. Danielson would be classified as MIA for the next 38 years. This weekend welcomes survivor "Woodie" Bergeron, widow Mary Danielson, son Brian Danielson, participants of the SAR, friends and the public to listen to this powerful story of legacy and sacrifice.
