Iraqi war veteran and award-winning poet & memoirist Brian Turner comes to San Antonio for a free reading at the Trinity University Holt Center. The free reading, presented by Gemini Ink, will be followed by a brief Q&A. Turner is the author of the poem “The Hurt Locker,” which inspired the 2009 Academy-Award-winning film. He served seven years in the US Army and is the author of the memoir My Life as a Foreign Country (2015) and two poetry collections, Phantom Noise and Here, Bullet.
