Devil at the Crossroads - Storytelling in Blues
Jump-Start’s INKubator Artist Fred Himes presents his new work, a fusion of original blues music, animation and storytelling. Himes portrays Virgil T. Honeybone, imaginary (and unreliable) blues musician and Robert Johnson rival. Himes has fashioned Devil at the Crossroads from a fusion of original blues music, animation and storytelling. Roland de la Cruz and odie. Wayne Cole join him onstage, contributing live music and the soundscape. “An atmospheric moment,” describes its creator. “This adaptation of Devil at the Crossroads is supernatural, spooky, and spellbinding. If you can truly groove, it will impart its blues mojo on you.”
