Different Skin

Different Skin is an exhibition honoring the memory of UT-Brownsville and UTRGV professor Carlos G. Gomez. The show features the work by Jesse Burciaga, Josie Del Castillo, and Alejandro Macias, all artists from Brownsville, Texas who were mentored by Gomez. Burciaga, Del Castillo and Macias share a common love of portraiture, and each have their own unique style that they use to explore concepts of identity, culture, body image, and their experiences living in the Rio Grande Valley.
