CANCELED. A local author will read from her novel, Sweet Jane, a coming of age novel set in Texas and spanning the years of 1957-1984. Sweet Jane was a finalist in the 2019 Faulkner/Wisdom Writing Competition. After a broken childhood, Jane runs away at sixteen right on time for the Summer of Love. Seventeen years later, her return for Mama’s funeral catapults her back to the events that made her the woman she is.
