San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks

When Kevin Durant referred to New York Knicks 7-foot-3 forward Kristaps Porzingis as a “unicorn” back in 2016, few would have guessed that the term of endearment would soon come to define the next wave of skilled big men in the NBA. Along with Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, Porzingis has emerged as a dominant playmaker for his franchise and a potential All-Star. After trading Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder for Enes Kanter and Doug McDermott over the summer, the Knicks have leaned heavily on Porzingis and are currently contending for a playoff birth in the East. Following a slow start to the season, San Antonio’s resident Latvian gunner, Davis Bertans, has rejoined the rotation with his confident shooting stroke on full display. As the Spurs continue to adjust to the return of Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, Bertans and Bryn Forbes will likely have a green light against the Knicks when they reach the hardwood.
