San Antonio's Eastside knows
Dignowity Meats for its signature smoked meat sandwiches, but this Saturday it's bringing a totally different type of cuisine to the area.
From noon to 5 p.m., Dignowity will host the folks of Pinch Vietnamese Kitchen for a pop-up food event showcasing their authentic Southeast Asian fare. Pinch will be doing a Viet-style shrimp and mussel boil for hungry San Antonians. The sampler plate, which comes with a quarter pound of shrimp, three mussels, corn and rice, will be $9.50. A quarter pound of shrimp or a dozen oysters without any sides will go for $7 and $12 respectively.
In addition to the boil, the event will also see the unveiling of Pinch's new coconut curry sauce. When you're ready to wash down all that Vietnamese seafood you scarfed down without taking a single breath, Dignowity will have its back bar open to serve patrons craft beer, wine and raspberry citrus sangria.
Drink specials for the event will include $2 Lone Star or PBR tallboys and $1 off all San Antonio beers. Dignowity's regular kitchen will reopen following the boil from 5 to 10 p.m.
