Here's Where You Can Snag one of Diego Bernal's Puro Star Wars Fiesta Medals

The details are finally out.

State Rep. Diego Bernal teased out the release of what we're dubbing a "Puro Estar Guars" medal in late March. In his social media shares, he disclosed the medal would be traded for food donations that'll go to the San Antonio Food Bank at a later date. On Friday, Bernal share information on when the medal will be available, and you may as well start lining up now, if last year's turnout is any indication.

The Star Wars meets San Antonio medal designed by Ray Scarborough (aka tattooedboy) will be released Sunday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sears Park North parking lot off Rector St. Per the flier shared, donors will receive 1 medal per person and are encouraged to not bring "anything they wouldn't eat."

In 2016, hordes of San Antonians donated to the cause. In just two hours, people donated eight bins totaling 5,195 pounds of food that equates to 4,156 meals, according to the San Antonio Food Bank.
