The event will feature "fun, food, live music, and frosty beverages all day." According to Aquaduck's Instagram, a "kidscape" will be completed for the opening. The beer garden is kid-friendly until 9 p.m.
If celebrants are overcome with a desire for tourism and some light education, Aquaduck is located (9214 Espada Rd.) near and named for the Espada Aqueduct, which Franciscans constructed in 1745. Or you can just stay on site and ask about the vegetation. Aquaduck's website has a tab for such information that currently lies empty. So you'll just have to ask directly for plant information.
Saturday's grand opening aside, Aquaduck's normal hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday and noon to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Happy hour is daily from 4 to 7 p.m. and involves a $2 Lone Star.
