Tempranillo Vertical Tasting: Past, Present, Future

Newsom is one of the oldest, most respected vineyards in Texas. In 1986, Neal Newsom and his family planted 5,000 vines on 5 acres. Today, the family has 148 bearing acres that produce nearly 400 tons of grapes annually. Many award-winning wines have been produced from Newsom’s grapes, and they were the first to plant Tempranillo in the state. At this special tasting event, enjoy hors d’oeuvres paired with 6 vintages of Tempranillo from Newsom Vineyards – 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2014 – along with barrel samples from 2015 & 2016. Discounts will be offered on wine purchases.

"This was our first time at this restaurant in San Antonio and it did not disappoint. We were hoping to try the bakery as well, but the portions were so big that we were stuffed! The service was quick and cheerful. We enjoyed the mariachi band play "La Bamba" at our table. The ambience was festive and so much fun! This was the best Mexican restaurant that we've ever experienced." — JoAnne R.
