You’d think the seed for the Rapture would be planted somewhere with a bit more gravitas, but there it is: the beige walls, gurgling coffee maker, and chipped formica counters of the Hobby Lobby break room.

Fleeing a scandal at his Evangelical church, Will joins the staff, who faces the not-sot-trivial task of fulfilling foul-mouthed manager Pauline’s corporate dictums. All the while, under the buzz of fluorescent lights, someone has found the time to set the ball rolling on the Book of Revelation. What unfolds is a darkly comical portrait of modern faith in middle America, as each employee confronts issues of religion, forgiveness and second chances in an attempt to seek a place in this unyielding world.
