Santikos implemented a new bag policy that limits purse sizes at its theaters across San Antonio, citing safety.
“The well-being of all of those in our establishments is of utmost importance,” stated David Holmes, CEO of Santikos Entertainment. “Our team felt it necessary to put this new, preventative measure forward to help ensure security.”
The new bag policy means medical and diaper bags will be allowed, but are subject to search. Duffel bags and backpacks are totally out and “Santikos Entertainment reserves the right to search all bags and packages that enter the theater regardless of size,” per a press release.
The last reported incidences of violence at a Santikos happened in
2017 at Casablanca and
2012 at the Mayan.
So, is it really safety or did someone ruin it for the rest of us?
Who snuck in the Church's Chicken? Who put five de asada in their purse? Who brought in a
wine tote?
“We put in these new measures in for the safety of our patrons and team members. It’s all about safety,” said Rob Lehman, chief operating officer of theatre operations via email.
But really, who tried to have a
chamoyarita paired with their favorite combo from Whataburger. Fess up.
