Maple syrup, flannel and murder, what more could you want? David Lynch's iconic enigma of a series has been set to begin shooting for some time now. However, filming was postponed due to a disagreement on finances, which has stalled the release until 2017. However, if it's half as engrossing as the original, as well as the mindfuck of a feature film based on the series, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me, it is worth considerable attention. It's David fucking Lynch. It's gonna be Lynchian (read: insane), and for that his cult cadre of devotees will undoubtedly be tuned in. Even if we have to borrow our stepdad's Showtime Anytime password.
Although originally scheduled for a nine-hour run time, the piney premiere has now been pushed back to an undisclosed amount of time, which means more steamy-simpleton-savant Dale Cooper. Lynch is returning as a co-writer, along with creator Mark Frost, and will be directing the mini-series (cue orgasmic sigh of relief).
