Elizabeth Camilletti is an MFA candidate at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her work has been in New American Paintings issues 141 and 144, the 2018 MFA Annual and 2019 West competitions, respectively. Jam To-Morrow, her Thesis show, is a part of a quote from Alice in Wonderland and is a metaphor for the unfulfilled promise. Elizabeth connects this theme with the utility of imagination as a means of suspending our disbelief in order to understand our world and progress through our lives.
