This independently organized event is affiliated with the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) and part of the ICA’s National Convening for Teens in the Arts. Realizing the lack of opportunity for educators and teens to come together to debate and exchange ideas, the ICA created the National Convening for Teens in the Arts event in 2009 to provide a structured forum for teens and museums how best to engage teens in museums. During Thursday's free public event, teen representatives from each of the seven participating organizations (Artpace; Contemporary Arts Museum Houston; McNay Art Museum; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Contemporary Austin; The Playhouse; and SAY Sí) will present on their distinctive programs and institutions. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, contact Artpace Taylor Browning by calling (210) 212-4900 or emailing [email protected].
