Girl in a Coma, SA’s favorite all-female trio, celebrates its return from weeks of touring by headlining at Ruta May Riverwalk (107 E. Martin) on Friday, August 10, with the Offbeats, and Kick It!.

Local music history will be made on Wednesday, August 8 when legendary keyboardist Augie Meyers enters Blue Cat Studios to cut tracks with reunited power-pop pioneers The Krayolas.

The Blue Cat session will focus on an unreleased Meyers tune called “Little Fox,” which he intended for the Quintet before the 1999 death of Sir Douglas Quintet frontman, Doug Sahm.

The Krayolas will also record a couple of their originals with Meyers, and plan to release a single from the session.
