On June 29, when the final Toys“R”Us stores closed, this super sad photo of Geoffrey leaving an empty store got all '90s babies in their feelings.
As the era came to a close, the San Antonio Zoo started a GoFundMe and reached out to Toys“R”Us to take over the rights to the essence that is Geoffrey so he can serve as an ambassador for giraffe conservation. The zoo hopes that the $100,000 donation goal will be enough to get the company's attention, while the funds would benefit the Giraffe Conservation Foundation.Toys 'R Us has closed down and if Geoffrey The Giraffe with his little suitcase leaving the empty store and the idea that we have all grown up and left childhood behind doesn't bring a tear to your eye then I can't help you pic.twitter.com/YSCxsvEhxo

So far, the zoo has raised less than $2,000.
